We are looking for 3 or 4 bright, energetic
couples to serve as Outreach Interns for a growing k’hila in New Rochelle
(Westchester County). We need people who are both committed to helping us
grow our core of young, frum families and also enthusiastic about sharing
the joy and richness of Torah and our traditions with people who are not yet
well-versed in Yiddishkeit.
We require families to live in our community,
regularly host young couples who might consider moving here, spend three
Shabbosim per month with our community, and help with reading Torah.
Outreach Interns will engage in teaching and learning with members of the
congregation on Shabbat, participate in our daily |
|
minyanim, contribute to the development of our
youth programming, and take initiative to share outreach ideas that can
foster our community’s growth and bring people closer to our Torah way of
life.
In return we offer a warm, heimishe community
close to New York City and a generous stipend to the Outreach Intern
families. Our community has an eruv and is close to day schools, kosher
supermarkets and restaurants, and mikvaot.
Please send resumes to Gary Waller, c/o
Congregation Anshe Sholom, 50 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10805. For more
