BIKUR CHOLIM
We thank the many volunteers who are coming
forward to help carry out this special mitzvah of visiting people who
are sick. Many people greatly appreciate a phone call, card, or visit when
they are "under the weather." Please let Ellen Kracko or Janet Waller
know if you are interested in participating so that we can offer
friendship and comfort to any congregants who are ill and help attend to
their needs. If you are ill, or know a family member or
friend who is, please call Ellen, (914) 633-9783, or Janet, (914)
235-0268, and let them know who would enjoy a call or visit. We have also set up
an e-mail network as one way to keep people informed. If you have an
e-mail address, and would like to be included, please let us know.

WOMEN'S SHMIRAS HALASHON GROUP
Our Shmiras Halashon women’s group meets monthly on Sunday
mornings at 10AM to learn about the mitzvah of shmiras halashon, guarding our tongues
and being careful about the way we speak to and about other people. Together
we study the teachings of the Chofetz Chaim on the laws of lashon hara and
rechilus, and share experiences which help us perform the mitzvah.
